Camera club outing – February 2009

Just under 30 members gathered at Franklin House at 9 am and headed off into a lovely day.  It was a day filled with photography, food stops and great company.  Steppes Historic Site, located on the Lake Highway in the Central Highlands of Tasmania via Poatina, Arthurs Lake and St Patricks Plains.

We visited Waddamana Power Station Museum on this day also.

the trouble with camera clubs …

The TROUBLE with camera clubs –  its day 19 of October and i am about to download a whole day’s touring with camera, exploring a part of this fabulous state we live in … and October already has 713 photos downloaded for the month !

I joined 6 months ago and thought it would ‘even’ out … its only got worse !

still its a problem i am happy to have … 🙂  keep your eye out for the next few postings of a few nice moments in October …

and this photo received an honourable mention at October’s meeting …  FAMILY TREE

camera club placement (october)

both pictures below placed, in october, in altered reality sections …  to see a haiga place in a camera club gives me much joy – not that this piece placed but that the club sees the value in the whole – that although the poetry is secondary when presented to a photography group, the whole was considered (and that includes the poem) …. the more viewers presented with a different artform widens the knowledge and ways of seeing…

camera club (september) placement – blue eyes

I found her set up at the local market, took the photo and then removed the clutter in the background. The September prompt at the camera club was ‘the face’ … she got third place.

This picture is available as a card or print in various sizes.  if you are interested go to my redbubble shop ….
