my collage a day series is not ‘really’ a collage a day … i work every day, across many pieces at a time. I set the content in my mind and then begin large working across the space back and forth bringing out content using collage, paint and lettering/words. Then i cut the large pieces up into the small size that collage a day is and work on each on individually bringing each to its final resolution …
this series is looking at vessels … my current readings take me from ancient vessels made in Mesopotamia to the beautiful glass vessels of Murano and onward to the Venus of Willendorf and woman … as soon as i can get my thoughts on the philosophy together i shall post them; meantime i have a series of small collages to finish …
