currently exploring haiga – haiku with visual … and this is my first at taiga (tanka with visual) …. it is my 10th haiku/visual exploration … the tanka grew out of the image and the image grew too, being a stitched landscape …

foundart series (2007)

last year prior to travelling to Switzerland and Italy i decided to do art along the way but knew i would not get in much drawing or painting, photography yes ! .. so i spent three months prior to leaving creating the foundart series .. initially i thought i would lose one a day so i needed 30 …. i created 75 and lost a couple or more a day on most days beginning at the airport in Launceston, Melbourne through days in Switzerland and a week in Umbria back through Singapore airport and Melbourne again ..

here you can see the artworks as they were created – the whole collection prior to losing one day.

i have finally found a way of using all that shibori paper i created way back in 2002 … and i have got this far, now i am stuck … leaving it for this weekend and will revisit next time …

pure silver spoon handle found buried in my garden .. without spoon and the handle is covered in a criss cross of green oxidisation and plant growth … cork, shibori papers, bird skull
